The Back Story...

Back in 2000, we stumbled upon a 1972 banana yellow Cutlass Convertible on Ebay. We contacted the seller, a former policeman from the Detroit area, who sent us paperwork and repair history on the car. Apparently, he was getting married and his wife to be decided it was time to get rid of his playthings. Unfortunately, we ended up being outbid for the car. Disappointed, we decided that it was not meant to be. A couple of days later, we get an email from the seller wanting to know if we were still interested - apparently, the online buyer was only 10 years old! We were thrilled!

Not wanting to appear complete fools for buying a nearly 30-year old car sight unseen off the internet, we had it delivered to Texas and didn't tell a soul for a few weeks just in case it turned out to be a real lemon. After some minor tweaks at the shop, we were off to the races! After enjoying it as it was for 18 years, we decided it was time to turn this car into the car of our dreams. Under the meticulus hand and care of Murph Murpho of Murphos Rods and Customs and Brent Davison of Sculpt Garage and, after 2 1/2 years in the shop, we now have our masterpiece - Texas Thunder!
